Supports Head Gardener with fine gardening upkeep of intentionally designed outdoor spaces. Tasks include:

  • Planting design, sourcing, delivery, and installation

  • Proper pruning and topiary sheering

  • Hand weeding, deadheading, and detailed clean up

  • Transplanting and planting

  • Assessing overall plant health, fertilizing, and mulching


GARDENER
RHYTHM SEED FARM, 05/2024—12/2024

Tended to edible and ornamental crops sown from locally adapted seeds, both independently and in collaboration with team members, with a focus on upholding organic gardening methods to rejuvenate biodiversity, improve soil health and structure, and assist in smart water management. Tasks included:

  • Preparing in-ground and raised beds

  • Sowing seeds, transplanting seedlings, and planting starts

  • Weeding and mulching

  • Ripeness indicators and harvesting

  • Assisting with community events including volunteer work parties, garden tours, and cook-outs using freshly grown produce

SEASONAL CASHIER & NURSERY WORKER
PORTLAND NURSERY, 01/2023—05/2023

Maintain displays of vegetables, perennials, annuals, herbs, and grasses and customers shopping for plants and garden supplies. Tasks included:

  • Stocking and organizing plant starts
